“Seniors Week 2010”

 

The ATBSO National will this year be held in Melbourne and details are as follows:

 

Dates:                          Friday 20th August 2010 to Monday 30th August 2010

Venue:                        AMF Sunshine Bowl, 504 Ballarat Rd, Sunshine.

Events Covered:         Australian Over 45 Championships (Covering all Averages)

                                    Australian Masters in Male & Female Sections, both Restricted & Scratch.

                                    Over 60’s “Grand Seniors Tournament”

                                    Restricted Teams Challenge         (6 person male & 6 person female teams.)

                                    Scratch Teams Challenge             (6 person male & 6 person female teams.)

                                                Both Teams Challenges are over 3 days each.

                                    Welcome Tournament (To be Organised)

Travel:                                    ATBSO Tas. will be organizing flights with Virgin Airlines.

Unfortunately Excess baggage with any airline is a problem and with this in mind all members will be responsible for their own excess baggage costs for bowling balls etc.

 

Some members will also be travelling via the “Spirit of Tasmania” and for those in the teams that wish to do so will be reimbursed the amount of their normal Air Fare.

General:                      Fundraising will be ongoing as usual and ALL team members can receive an allowance to their personal costs, depending on amount of participation.

                                    Bylaw No. 5                A bowler making a “State Challenge Team” will be liable for his / her total cost of their trip, including airfares, accommodation, bowling etc.    The full cost will be decided on by the Board of Directors, after a full BUDGET has been finalized by the Treasurer.   Any level of fundraising done by the bowler will also be taken from this amount.   If no fundraising done by the bowler then he / she is responsible for the full amount.
